Hello Lee,

thanks for these detailed info!

Would you also have a mounting dimensions sheet to see where the mounting holes are located for better planning?

And one other question:
how do the units look like from the back (maybe you also have a photo from that)?
The main reason why I'm asking is, because you wrote that everything is connected to your custom Adruino input board. So I guess there are a lot wires going from the 3 units to this input board.
How are these wires are "managed"? Is there a kind of (custom) cable with plug going from each unit to the input board or really every button wire by itself?

Best regards and thanks again

Hello Andreas,

here is the mounting dimensions :
MFD/PFD
from center to center of hole
12.6 inch (306.4 mm ) from left to right
7.48 inch (190 mm) top to bottom
the hole size is 0.16 inch (4 mm)

the unit at the back do not have a solid look this is because it is a custom made base on the application it goes in for example if the unit will be a part of a G1000 unit it will wire differently and be open at the back if the unit will be with a stand it will be 1.5 inch thick to fit the board , for some people the wiring dont really matter but some of them will ask to wire every button separately the default is one cat 6 wire control 8 buttons
please see attach picture of the board after final assembling (this is the ne PCB design )

Hello Lee,
12.6 inch (306.4 mm ) from left to right
That does not work, I guess you meant 12.06 inch, right?

Please also add the mounting dimensions of the audio panel, thanks.

Regarding wiring:
maybe you could just post a picture of the G1000 unit with the 3 panels (PFD/MFD/audio) completely wired from the back that we can see how everything fits together with your custom PCB board.

Best regards and thanks again for your quick replies

Hello Lee,

great, thanks again for your reply!

Do you offer the G1000 product also as build kit?

I think that would be a great additional as it would save you the production work and for buyers that are willing to invest some hours in building it together themselves you could provide it this way cheaper (and so increasing also the potential buyer count).

Additionally as a side effect it also probably would make it easier to get it through customs which is a bit of a concern for me. But when there are only (in the view of a customs guy) only a mess of small parts like panels, buttons, ... in the package I would guess that this makes it easier through German customs than a clean and expensive looking, finished product. :-)

Just wanted to add that I finally ordered the "build kit" version including touch screens yesterday evening:
so I will report on my experience with this device as soon it arrived (and I managed to build it together). :-)
