controller's radio range fixed

Post by Keith Smith »

There has long been an issue where one controller's radio range was seemingly infinite. That is, you could hear him from anywhere in the world, and vice versa. This has been tracked down and fixed.

I remember a time when that particular controller, on another network, sounded like he was transmitting from inside the bottom of a rusty old oil tank in Siberia. You've come a long way Eugene. :)

Yes, the new non-rusty oil tank seems to be a vast improvement.

My favorite is when you can tell what's on TV every time a pilot keys up his mike. Dang it! I'm missing survivor!

I'm guilty of that. Unfortunately I have no room for a man cave. I transmit from my dining room, which doubles as my office. So I ma be one of the pilots you occasionally may hear background noises from. I apologize for this, doing the best I can with what I have - lol :)
