Oculus Rift S Unreadable

Post by BFG »

Something interesting (and strange) has happened my last two attempted VR flights on the network. The mic from the Oculus Rift S I'm using comes through as static and unreadable to the controllers. I was preparing to stream using OBS, however, and on the stream the mic audio came though 5 by 5. So it seems to be something going on between the Rift S software and the PE client (moving to my normal headset worked fine). Just wondering if anyone has had a similar problem -- and this is new to the past few weeks. Thanks.

Quite a few commercial customers are using the audio input from VR devices with PE, but I don't recall the specific models beyond the Vive Pros.

I just remembered, there was another thread about the Rift recently. Quick search found it: viewtopic.php?f=12&t=8544&p=55638&hilit=rift#p55638. Good luck, it looks quite involved.
