It's back to IFR for this weeks Group Flight. Last week Keith & Alex joined us. Good to watch the masters at work.

[Dec 7, 2200z] Flyout KBFL to KMYF IFR
Re: [Dec 7, 2200z] Flyout KBFL to KMYF IFR
I'm just wondering what's the reasoning for this hour? It's surprisingly convenient for me (2300 local) but that means it's a middle of a business day in US

A number of the DTP users are in Europe, hence the time.

I will be ready on Wednesday for some flight planning for the flight on Friday.

I think that the Wed flt planning session is going to be very useful. I learnt something new again tonight. Thanks Mike

I'm looking forward to this, will plan on being there, either on the scope or in the airplane.

I'll join as well, assuming I won't fall asleep earlier, it've been a busy week...

The more the merrier. The next flight out will be VFR (but can also be flown IFR & even to a different destination should you want a longer flight)
The prime purpose is to fly in busy airspace & to learn from others experiences (aka mistakes, aka alternative points of view, or whatever spin you wish to put on it, oh, I almost forget, to also have fun in the process!

Here's a video from the flight: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oVb6S_3qnzc
The vectoring for the approach at the end is interesting, there are speed restrictions to maintain spacing with traffic ahead, and then there's a go-around and a lap of the pattern.
