Post by bruce »

It's back to IFR for this weeks Group Flight. Last week Keith & Alex joined us. Good to watch the masters at work.

I'm just wondering what's the reasoning for this hour? It's surprisingly convenient for me (2300 local) but that means it's a middle of a business day in US ;-)

A number of the DTP users are in Europe, hence the time.

I'm looking forward to this, will plan on being there, either on the scope or in the airplane.

I'll join as well, assuming I won't fall asleep earlier, it've been a busy week... ;-)

The more the merrier. The next flight out will be VFR (but can also be flown IFR & even to a different destination should you want a longer flight)

The prime purpose is to fly in busy airspace & to learn from others experiences (aka mistakes, aka alternative points of view, or whatever spin you wish to put on it, oh, I almost forget, to also have fun in the process!

Here's a video from the flight: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oVb6S_3qnzc

The vectoring for the approach at the end is interesting, there are speed restrictions to maintain spacing with traffic ahead, and then there's a go-around and a lap of the pattern.
