Quick note for those planning on flying IFR - l65 does not have any instrument approaches, so you'll be going in visual.

I have not configured DTP yet...I'm planning to take off with all of you (hopefully several!) and talk with you guys near L65 on the CTAF 122.775!

I'll be there in either a 172 (N298CA) or Mooney (N201EP). Sounds like you guys will be in some fast machinery so probably the latter.

In the future, once you have a date/time finalized, you should create a new thread with the appropriate title, that way, people can skim the forum see what's coming up based on the titles alone. As it stands, you have 4 page thread titled 'east coast fly-in' that's been going on for a couple of weeks. Something to keep in mind for the next one. There's also an announcement in the forum explaining it, too. Not a big deal, but I assure you, more people will know about it if you publicize it the normal way for the next one.

Thanks to all of you that were flying the EAST COAST FLY IN last night! It was great fun!

Next available dates I have are:
Feb 5th (Tue) 7:00pm EST
Feb 19th (Tue) 7:00pm EST
Feb 28th (Thu) 7:00pm EST

We could organize a flight per each date and maybe we can use the PE Teamspeak for planning a few days earlier...

What do you guys think?

Also, last night we were talking about weather engines...for those who asked this is what I use http://www.realenvironmentxtreme.com/. They have FSX, FS2004 and XP9 versions.

Gentlemen, it was a pleasure to meet you "in person" last night. :)
We should definitely do it every two weeks, it adds to the excitement definitely.

Alex, if you are not too busy, would you mind to create separate threads for each date you listed per Keith's suggestion.

If you are too busy, let me know, I will do it.

Threads would be like below:

EAST COAST FLY IN Feb 5th (Tue) 7:00pm EST 0000Z
EAST COAST FLY IN Feb 19th (Tue) 7:00pm EST 0000Z
EAST COAST FLY IN Feb 28th (Thu) 7:00pm EST 0000Z

I think it is a good idea to have a thread that has the date and time ( I would also add Zulu time , just in case ;) ) listed in the title, much easier to spot while scanning forums.
In each thread we could discuss route VFR and IFR so have a choice depending on the weather and since we are agreed on the choice, you could update the information in the initial thread so the most recent information sits in the initial thread.

PE Teamspeak? Do you mean DTP Teamspeak? Of course we could do that , just let us know when. I think that we can talk on Teamspeak few days BEFORE the planned fly-in so when the day comes we are all ready VFR or IFR depending on weather or personal choice.

Thank you for the link about the weather, I use X-Plane 10.20 so it might not work but I will investigate.

Guys, thank you again and till next time.

I am excited. ;) Cheers, AJ

AJ, Alex,

It was a pleasure talking with you last night after arriving at Perris Valley. After some thought, I remember getting a low memory error while in flight last night. That may explain why I couldn't see the runway, it wouldn't generate for me. Hopefully Keith will get that 64bit Mac plugin working soon. I need to do some more investigating, but I believe that had a lot to do with not being able to see the r/w.

Again, it was fun and I look forward to doing it again soon!!
