I went IFR as well and had a blast poking in and out of the clouds, although my little c172 was panting by the time we got to 11500. ;-) Fun one guys

Good times! The overcast out of John Wayne made it difficult to stay VFR once near the mountains to the northeast. Had to change the weather to clear in the sim at that point, but went back to r/w weather once past KRIV. Then things got even more interesting when I realized there was another Skyhawk with almost the same callsign. "Was that for Skyhawk 7CA or Skyhawk 8CA...?"

Here's the only pic I have:

Next time we should stick around for a secondary flight!

Good idea, we need to prepare one for each fly-in for those who will have time to do another flight.

Jeff, since it is your idea, why don't propose the secondary route for next East Coast fly-in? Cheers, AJ

How about using the Focus Fields? Varying lengths to all different airports in continuous fashion. Just a thought.

It is called EAST COAST because of the time...700PM EST when the "East Coast" pilots can have some time to fly. 3pm EST wasn't really working for us!

Also, we already have some "double stop" flight. It is #6 in the Flight Desk post: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=2564

SKYVECTOR: http://skyvector.com/?ll=34.38590558810 ... :A.K2.KSBA

Please add any idea you might have in the Flight Desk post and check the double stop one. We might do this on Feb 28th!

What do you think?
