Anyone up for some Shared Cockpit?

Post by stealthbob »

I find myself with no family obligations and a day off tomorrow....(Stat Holiday for me). I also finally was able to upgrade my less than adequate internet setup...had some issues in the past that limited the connection. Runs shared cockpit awesome now!

If anyone wants to join up with me tomorrow I will be ready for PE open at 15:00 Zulu.

I am up for any flight you are interested in, I have most GA planes on the list, also the FJS 737.

Looks like I picked a bad day, for some reason I thought there was a holiday in the US as well.... :?

Regardless, I would like to also add that I can help anyone new to Pilot Edge. While I am most certainly not at the level of most of the veterans here I feel I can still help in the early stages of getting on line, flying with live ATC, having some fun and learning some of the ratings flights while I am sitting in the right seat.

Just post or PM me if your interested, I am typically taking in a flight on weekend mornings when PE opens. (15:00Z)

That being said, if anyone needs help testing any SC files, let me know.

I'd be up to do shared cockpit. I use FSX and have the Carenado BE58, C172, and C152.

Idiotic minds want to know - where are the release notes for the new SmartCopilot? I saw mentions of it on the XP forums, though I can't seem to find a change-log or an "update" instructions page... :?

The write up is here:

http://xsmart-plane.com/smartcopilot-2-0-beta-released/

I messed with it for a while until I read the fact that you need to rename the client license key.

From the update notes:

"copy your license file to the new plugin folder and rename it to smartcopilot2.key"

You now have unlimited time to test in demo mode.

Ah, it's a beta. That explains it. To be honest, I looked on the page and read until a bunch of random acronyms started popping up... My brain can't handle UDP, TCP, UPnP, Strings, and license keys all at once  Think I'll stick with my current version for now ;)

StealthBob,
I'm on X-Plane with a good rig, new AirfoilLab C172, and on Rome time (Zulu+2).
Seems you're EST, if I'm right, and though not interested in Shared Cockpit, I would enjoy trying a mini formation---small group on same route, perhaps PE off-hours, Freq 123.45 or 122.8 for some off-LA grid excursion.
I'm told if we're in proximity, we can fly anywhere.
Please post if interested.
