I am hoping my schedule works out for this tonight, at the very least I will be monitoring the party. Last night I did a practice run into HHR. I flew VFR from Catalina, staying below Bravo I went over KTOA at 2700 and contacted KHHR tower. The tower told me to ident. I immediately went to my transponder on the PE client and I was not even squawking Mode C! I thought by default my Mode C would have been enabled even while squawking VFR. Normally my 172 transponder is on ALT when I turn the plane on and log into PE and I thought it would default Mode C. A very valuable lesson learned. After landing and taxing to parking the controller was very helpful to point out my mistake.

Tonight should be a really good time. I plan on going from KSFO to KLAX via the PORTE7 AVE SADDE6. Going to try and shoot for a departure time of about 9:00-9:30 eastern. Hope to see everyone on tonight!

Tempted to do the A332...Just got it this week and I am able to fly it pretty good now but other than using it to pass the I-09 I have not flown it on PE.

I can only assume there will be some tight constraints from the controllers tonight, no time for low hour experience with particular aircraft.

That being said I like the challenge of it all....

KSFO for me as well, equipment is a game time decision 8-)

I was having a great time....

N372L IGM to LAX

1)Flew during the event, beautiful virtual sunset!
2) Talked to the CEO on the freq (score!)
3) Didn't have any busts (almost missed RIIVR at 140!)

Then as KS shipped me to tower I got an OOM with P3D 2.5 NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO :o

And that was the end of my night :x

Nice arrival stream to both airports though!

Irritating. X-Plane's Carenado's Bonanza autopilot seemed to have a life of its own tonight. Maybe it's 10.40... All altitude behavior was hopeless. Tried to tame it, and then, as coming into Hawthorne, lost the PE connection, X-Plane froze and when it periodically unfroze, I couldn't connect at all. So I landed, and then I could connect. Keith was suddenly on my frequency, so I told him that I had landed, and I taxied to park. Apparently, it was not me. The network had crashed. So PE did not properly log my flight. Never mind.
