[Jan 17 (Sun) 1800-2100 PST] Left Turn at Albuquerque!
We're pleased to announce a beta test of one of the new fields that will be involved in the long-awaited PilotEdge expansion.
Come and join us with a fly-in to KABQ (Albuquerque International Sunport), leaving from the airport of your choice. The event window is from 1800-2100PST (ie, DEPARTURES should start from 1800 onwards). If you'd like to do a quick turn and depart KABQ back to the primary coverage area, that is welcomed as well.
We know everyone has been waiting for the expansion (us included, btw!) and we're excited to be able to offer this airport. We anticipate doing this as we complete the SOPs for other fields as the data arrives in bits and pieces from the FAA. For now, let's enjoy ABQ in all its glory!
Note: the PilotEdge Receiver will NOT pick up any of the communications for ABQ clearance, ground, tower, approach or center.

Awesome! No additional subscription is required at this point to participate right?

Will there be any issues flying VFR into ABQ?
Low and slow is where the excitement is. Would want to come in with my Baron 58.
N4785B requesting flyby.

I don't see why not, but I wouldn't plan for pattern work.

Ken really is awesome, I've had the pleasure of meeting him at the last two years of Oshkosh. A nicer man you will not find.

Keith,
This is good news for sure. Is ABQ only open for this event or are we free to use the airport at anytime?

just for the event. It's being staffed separately.
