[Aug 16, Tuesday 5:30pm] CMA - SMO - EMT - POC - SBD
Aircraft: Any non fixed wing aircraft
Flight Rules: VFR, with or without flight following
Route: KCMA to KSMO to KEMT to KPOC to KSBD (Are you a pro? Try doing this without having to talk to SoCal!)
Details: Because we all want to channel our inner HeliPilot7, let's get the rotors spinning on Tuesday, August 16 starting at 1730 PST. Nothing formal, just us amateurs trying not to kill ourselves.
Start up at KCMA and depart VFR to the east towards SMO. Depart from the ramp or taxi to a runway, your choice. Continue with the routing above and let's have fun flying some rotorcraft together.

This sounds promising...might have to find an autogyro to fly...

I am absolute trash at flying helicopters, although it seems like my issue is having my hardware settings wrong for a heli.
That said, I'll absolutely be there.

I just discovered the joys of flying helicopters and jump in the Dreamfoil Bell 407 or their Schweizer S300CBi whenever I can. Taking off, hovering and flying is getting better, but there is still lots of room for improvement when it comes to landings. Let's just say I can land "somewhere" on the field.
Unfortunately, I won't be able to join due to the time difference.

Sounds fun. Although I'm no expert at helicopters, I'm up for a challenge.
