I think this is a great idea and it was quite a lot of fun (as well as good practice) last weekend so lets keep it going!

My route proposal for this week is:
L52 (Oceano) -> LPC (Lompoc) -> IZA (Santa Ynez) -> CMA (Camarillo)
Aircraft: your choice. (I'll personally take the skyhawk)

Start with closed traffic at the scenic Oceano L52 airport, the shortish runway will make it fun. Then, proceed south towards Lompoc. There is the Vandenberg Restricted area to avoid and the SMX delta airspace to make it a bit interesting. A couple laps at Lompoc and then head out to Santa Ynez following the river. After a few laps there we can continue towards Lake Cachumba and up the valley. Terrain getting high now! After crossing the terrain, head towards Lake Casitas or just follow the coast south east . Getting close to Camarillo now! Either contact Oxnard to get a transition or avoid the OXR delta and just contact CMA Tower for a few final laps there.

Meet at the ramp in L52 using 123.45 and then we can switch over to the CTAF.

If weather is bad we can either simulate VFR or opt for an alternate destination.

So great to see ACT lives! I was sorry I couldn't get online last weekend, especially after suggesting it. I'm Mr. Mom this weekend, but Sat AM should work for me. Pending any family responsibilities, I'll be there in a 172.
