Happy Birthday, PilotEdge!

9 years ago, PilotEdge opened its doors with a single coverage area- ZLA. Since then, the network has expanded to cover nearly the entire western half of the United States. 2020 has been PilotEdge's busiest year to date, as well as the most exciting, with the addition of several Western US (WUS) coverage area airports and the one-of-a-kind SimVenture Oshkosh event! While 2020 has been such a difficult year for everyone, we're glad that PilotEdge has been able to offer a way to for licensed pilots to maintain proficiency, student pilots to study in a practical setting, and hobbyists to take a breather from the events surrounding 2020.

We feel that all of this deserves a celebration! Join us for our next event within the WUS coverage area. All aircraft types are welcome, VFR or IFR.

Slower aircraft are encouraged to depart toward the beginning of the 1 hour departure window.

Due to limited ramp space at GJT, please check the PE Live map (map.pilotedge.net) before connecting to PilotEdge to ensure you are not on top of someone else. Consider moving your airplane to a custom start spot (rather than a default start location) before connecting).

Props/Turboprops are encouraged to spawn up west of TWY C in the southernmost parking area off of Taxiway C1A

Recommended Routing:
RNAV Turbojet: JNC7 JNC J12 HELPR LEEHY5
Non-RNAV Turbojet: JNC7 JNC J12 HELPR SPANE7
All Turboprops: JNC J12 HELPR SPANE7
Pistons (minimum altitude 13,000) JNC V134 FFU
Pistons high altitude: JNC J12 FFU

Recommended IFR routes are posted above.

Please note that this will be more traffic than GJT ever sees (even in the real world) which is why we have a 1 hour departure window. Don’t feel the need to depart right away. We hope the departure window will allow users to naturally stagger themselves. However, if you plan on flying a piston engine aircraft, we encourage you to depart earlier in the window.
