VFR Group Flight #22
Hopping hilltop airports in NorCal

We'll be doing another early morning VFR group flight this Saturday 1/2. Personally I think it's one of the coolest we've done so far, I am really excited about this one. We will depart from a towered airfield again and land at an untowered field again.

Start your sim of choice, load up at a vacant ramp location at the Tower Ramp T's at Sacremento Executive (KSAC) and log into the Pilotedge network to join. The briefing starts at 8:00 am PST on 122.75. After everyone is informed and ready the Pilotedge service should have been opened and we will advise when we switch to the ground frequency for departure.

We'll be leaving northeastbound and squeeze ourself through the 'corridor' between the SMF class C and MHR class D towards Folsom Lake. From there we head east for our first hilltop airport of the day, Placerville (KPVF). After a touch-and-go there we follow the mountain ridges southbound for touch-and-goes in Colombia (O22) and Pine Mountain Lake (E45) as well! Our flight will terminate with a fullstop landing in scenic located Mariposa (KMPI)

This is a pretty basic procedure flight but with great views and multiple scenic located challenging airports for touch-and-goes. It is suitable for beginners however because it includes a departure from a class D airport, I highly recommend you to achieve at least the CAT-ratings up to the CAT-4 if you'd like to join. Preferably fly an aircraft that is easily able to maintain a cruise speed of around 90 kts.

Wanna join? You sure don't wanna miss this one.
