VFR Group Flight #23
First Round Casino Roulette

We'll be doing another early morning VFR group flight this Saturday 1/9. Because of the overwhelming but so much appreciated showup at the last groupflight I have been in touch with the PE-staff. We have worked out a format that works for ATC but also throws in an exciting new element for us. I hope you just like the idea as much as I do. You know where we initiate our groupflight but do not know where it terminates. You just don''t wanna miss out on this newborn lotteryflight.

Start your sim of choice, load up at a vacant ramp location in Hood River (4S2, Ken Jernstedt Airfield) and log into the Pilotedge network to join. Instead of the frequency 122.75 we will use the #Briefing Room 1 on the Pilotedge discord server for the briefing. This offers opportunities for realtime communication and Q&A. The briefing starts at 8:00 am PST. Information about the Pilotedge discord server can be found at the links below for those unfamiliar with it. After everyone is informed and ready we will advise when we switch to the local CTAF frequency.

We'll be leaving eastbound along the Columbia river and proceed to Goldendale (S20) for a touch-and-go. After that we'll fly over the plateau to Prosser, S40 and make a full stop landing there. On the ground we taxi back to the runway and depart one by one again. Just before departure from S40 I will let each of you know if your destination for today's groupflight will be towered Trie-Cities (KPSC) or untowered Richland (RLD). After landing at the appointed airport we debrief on the discord server again.

This is a pretty basic procedure flight but with great views and an exciting new element. It is suitable for beginners however because it might include a landing at a class D airport, I highly recommend you to achieve at least the CAT-ratings up to the CAT-2 if you'd like to join. Preferably fly an aircraft that is easily able to maintain a cruise speed of around 90 kts.

Wanna join? You sure don't wanna miss this new format.
