Our ping-pong events don't come around very often, but when they do- they're a lot of fun. Ping-pong events promote arriving/departing between two specified airports which creates crossing enroute traffic as well as a mixture of departures and arrivals at each airport.

This month, Salt Lake City Ping-Pong will focus on KSLC and KJAC. Pilots are encouraged to fly between these airports between the 3 hour event window.
Please refrain from calling ground or clearance delivery before the start of the event (5pm PDT).

As always, both VFR and IFR aircraft are welcome.

Recommended IFR routings:

In an effort to expedite the IFR operations rate at KJAC for this event, we would encourage IFR arrivals to cancel their IFR with the Center whenever they feel comfortable continuing VFR.

Due to the high terrain around KJAC, IFR aircraft will need to be capable of operating at least in the mid-teens.

JAC-SLC
JAC North Flow (RNAV) GEYSR5 NALSI JAC NORDK6
JAC South Flow ALPIN2 IDA PIH BEARR5
JAC South Flow (Low altitude) ALPIN2 IDA V21 PIH BEARR5

SLC-JAC
SLC4 TCH BPI DNW
(Low altitude) SLC4 MLD V465 JAC
(RNAV) RUGGD1 HOLTR LEIDY DNW

Should BLD be MLD?

I sure hope so, or it's going to be an unnecessarily long flight. I'll fire a note off to Kevin to fix it.
