I just posted v0.7.7 for Windows. This adds support for com1/2, however, it removes the ability to listen to the XP ATIS on one radio while monitoring the other radio on PE.
The next feature in the works is the ability to toggle a feature which will allow you to hear ALL the pilots the controller is working on the radio, rather than just the ones on your frequency. This won't be for everyone, but it's been requested enough times that I'm going to make it available.
Once that feature is added, I'll do a Mac and Linux build and then I'll release the Linux plugin.

A little confused here. So we can use either com1 or com2 as the prime, but the only restriction is that we can't listen to the XP's own ATIS?Keith Smith wrote:I just posted v0.7.7 for Windows. PE now honors the com selector, that's probably the best way to put it.
Prior to this, you could select COM2, which would allow you pick up XP's ATIS on COM2 while PE was still using COM1. That's no longer the case. You can certainly swap to COM2 and pick up an ATIS there, but PE will now be using COM2 and you'll no longer be monitoring COM1 on PE. If you transmit in that case, it will be on the ATIS freq, and nobody is likely to hear you.
We haven't changed anything about X-Plane's ATIS system....we've simply changed PE so it takes notice of the com selector.

Got it. More of a "one at a time" situation then.

Now this is just on xp side.
I haven't been on for a bit, but IIRC the FSX client did respect the Com1/Com2 in-sim selector, no?
Also, I expect the "hear all pilots" thing is server based changes, so all clients will benefit? That will be a nice addition, it will really give it more of an ambiance on the frequency.

Yes, fsx client already had this.
The new frequency bleed is a client change.

Ah, so is that planned for the FSX client as well?Keith Smith wrote: The new frequency bleed is a client change.
Whoops, just realized this is in the x-plane section.

Yes, when the bleed feature is released, it will be in both clients. Ironically, all we need to do is build an option to turn off the voice muting functionality that exists in the clients today. The voice layer wants you to hear those pilots at its core, but we're doing work to stop that happening. We just need to stop doing the work.
