flying late @ night
flying late @ night
So i have never done a lot of late night flying. How does it work with airports after hours? I figure lax is open 24 7, but the smaller airports, if you show up after closing do youget in trouble? I know that some airports have runways that can be activated by keying the radio on a proper frequency. But if i wenf to a class b that was closed and landed, would the faa bust me down to pedestrian?

It's very, very rare that a Class B airport will close. I can't think of any that will.

airports don't "close" after published operating hours. They simply revert to either Class E or Class G airspace at the surface and become non-towered airports.
You'd get in as much trouble as you would had you landed at any other non-towered airport....which is none.
