I just noticed this tonight. I deliberately crafted a rather convoluted flight plan for practice, and I found that the entry field in the File IFR screen was of insufficient length to hold the whole thing. For what it's worth, I wanted to file the following (including all the victor airways since I'm /A ) :
SADDE V299 LAX V23 HERMO V23 SLI V23 OCN V208 JLI V460 CANNO V66 BARET
I ran out just before BARET.
Chris
PS Thanks again for yet another excellent training experience. Icing up and having to turn around & descend was an eye-opener.

Re: Minor bug with "File IFR" form
Great find, Chris, I'll get on that for the next release.
I was looking ahead at the MEA's for you route of flight and climbed you to 8k (for the 7700 MEA), then to 9k for the upcoming 8500 MEA. When I heard "unable," I thought, "well this'll be interesting."
Good for you for turning around and getting lower right away. That's the way to do it right there! Icing feels scary in the sim. I imagine it's considerably worse in real life.
