nextgen CSL

Post by Keith Smith »

It's coming along very nicely. Animated gear, REAL xp10 lights, translucent windows, even animated control surfaces. This will require new CSL's to be created to take advantage of these features, but it'll be worth it. Hope to have this released along with 64-bit mac xplane soon.

Did some testing tonight on the mac and PC. You can now use global shadows and the HDR lights hack is no longer needed (in fact, if you have it then you'll need to get rid of it and go back to the original lights.png file for use with legacy CSL). I also suspect the 'flickering' aircraft will be gone (was a problem when aircraft were stationary).

I'll get screenshots posted when I get back early next week.

That's great news re: global shadows! They make a huge difference in realism.
