PEaware issues
PEaware issues
I had a great time and enjoyed every bit of my I-10 rating flight, however I noticed it is not listed on PEaware. May be it is because I did not land at my listed flight plan destination Santa Maria, but at my alternate San Luis (as per I-10) instead?
I have also noticed that the B60T ICAO code which corresponds to the Turbine Duke which I sometimes fly is not recognised by the PEaware system.
Cheers:

Probably because B60T isn't an official FAA type aircraft... only ICAO
PE ID: 29
FAA ATCS
FAA PPL ASEL

FAA PPL ASEL

Re: PEaware issues
That wouldn't explain why the flight wasn't logged, though. It's likely that the destination wasn't updated by the controller when you diverted to SBP, so the flight wasn't captured since Peaware concluded that you never made it to your destination, sorry about that.
Re: PEaware issues
ohh I see, so If there is no FAA code for the turbine duke, is it OK to enter the code as B60T when filling a flight plan in US?

Re: PEaware issues
If you want PEAware to recognize your Duke as a Duke, then you need to use the appropriate ICAO code. There are no aircraft using B60T as an ICAO code so your aircraft type will show up as unknown. While you will be able to log on and enter B60T as aircraft type, your Duke will not show up as the aircraft flown in your PEAware log.

Re: PEaware issues
Steven, BE60 is the ICAO code for the original Duke, however I am not talking about that, I am talking about the modified turbine Duke which has a code B60T as per the ICAO document 8643, which is the official source of ICAO aircraft type designators...
I am uploading a picture with the corresponding search result, showing both designators. You can also search on their official site.

Re: PEaware issues
B60T is a valid designation, but PEAware might not recognize it. The aircraft designation is not the source of the issue. We have people who file incorrect codes, PEAware has no idea what the type of airplane is, but it still tracks the flight.

Re: PEaware issues
I stand corrected. The website I've been using didn't list B60T as a valid code, but I went directly to the ICAO website and B60T is indeed the code for the Turbo Duke.

Re: PEaware issues
Have flown the V3 last night, but it isn't displayed on PEaware. Anyone know why?
The practice flight I flew on the 13th of November is on it. Flew the same route with the same aircraft and didn't change any setting in PE application.
