Flying Penguin Club

Hey all,

Would like to invite you to the Club. We're based at L19 (Wasco-Kern County) near KBFL and have several aircrafts available for Club members:

1. Beechcraft 1900D
2. Beechcraft Duke B60
3. Beechcraft Royal Turbine Duke B60
4. Cessna 182 Skylane
5. Lancair Legacy
6. Piper PA-28 Cherokee 180

Pilot fee is set to 80%, so you will get 80% of income from your flights. And no need to pay for fuel if you conduct your flight 'for group'. Maybe I will reduce pilot fee a bit, if plane maintenance and fuel will not be covered by those 20% left to group. But after all it still should be cheaper than paying normal rent for same airplanes. So there is no goal to make big money from PE pilots community, only those few virtual bucks required to keep planes flying and FBO at L19 working.

'Terms and conditions' are quite simple:
1. Club is private - for PE members only
2. All flights should be inside PE coverage area
3. All maintenance of club aircrafts should be done at L19 (just to reduce costs)
4. Would be great if all flights will make some minimal profit or at least minimum loss for group
5. Would be great if all flights conducted online in PE
6. Would be nice if you use FSE callsigns while flying online in PE

That's it.

Currently all planes have L19 set as home base, but it doesn't matter for club members as they don't pay the rent. If you think we should change it to 46CA or other airfield, we can do it. No problem. Any other suggestions or recommendations are welcome too.

And if you need some other particular aircraft type, let me know - we'll try to purchase it for you.

If you're interested just write your FSE login here and I'll send you an invitation to join the group.

The timing on this post is just amazing. I had just found your turbine Duke via aircraft search on FSE, but the page was taking a while to load so I flipped to the forums and found this post! I'm just getting started with FSE and PilotEdge both - I've done my PilotEdge V-3 and some short range penguin ferrying in an Archer in X-Plane and had a good time, but I honestly would prefer to fly in FSX and your aircraft list looks tailor made for my A2A and RealAir planes. If you don't mind taking on someone inexperienced I'd be interested in joining. FSE user name has been communicated.

Hi David,
You're welcome for sure. Invitation is sent - check your 'Groups' menu at FSE.
And don't forget you should choose 'Flying Penguin Club' when taking as assignment, so FSE will count this flight as made for group. Otherwise you will be charged for rent as usual.

I'm so impressed! How did you pull this off? Do you own all six of those aircraft? It's taken me ages just to save up the cash to buy a Bonanza and an Archer.

Anyway, thank you for this great service to the PE (and FSE/PE) community.

Hi
i am fairly new to pilotedge and fse with v-1 -3 done and a few bucks in my fse account. Does your club fly into any towered airports with busy airspace. I want to find an fse group within pilotedge that gives me the whole range of learning options.
thx Lee

Most of the planes are based out of L19 Wasco-Kern. It's a quick hop over to KBFL Bakersfield Meadows Field if you' re looking for a tower to talk to. I've mostly been flying jobs to and from PilotEdge FBOs in the turbine Duke, but last night I did 46CN Crystal Airfield to KONT Ontario to KLGB Long Beach to KBFL. There's some challenging (at least for me) flight planning and radio work on that route.

The beauty of pop-up IFR - ATC tells you where to go and how to go there - no work on your part at all ;) No flight planning and only 2 freqs to look up. You also get in the air quicker=less fuel burned on the ground=$$$
