How much of a drain is this on system resources? Any idea how much space that the ZLA area takes up?

Not really any drain on resources. For me, full ZLA coverage takes about 25GB at zoom level 15.

This looks awesome. Can someone please help me install this? I am not sure how to go about doing it. I have the HD Mesh v3 installed just not the g2xpl. A brief tutorial would be helpful. Thanks!

The demo program and docs are in this thread. I donated to get the full version, the demo is limited in zoom (detail) level.

On my system (specs on Twitch profile) I don't really notice a drain other than longer load times on startup. YMMV depending on your system specs. The 1x1 tiles I've been generating are about 7GB at zoom level 17. I use 17 because I'm usually VFR pretty low. If you're in an airliner, 15 would probably be more than enough.

Wow, how are you getting those frame rates? I have 12 GB RAM, Core i7 Haswell, and an Nvidia 980 and I'm lucky to get 30 fps! You're getting 103, 87, and 106 fps with a bunch of high-res textures loaded...

Well the sim is paused, I'm in free camera mode, and out in the middle of nowhere. :) I get 30-50 if flying in more populated areas so maybe your settings are higher?

I recently finished all the tiles at zoom level 17 and the total size is 335GB.

More detail for the curious
