X-Plane shared cockpit?

Post by jeffpoland »

Anyone interested in doing some shared cockpit stuff with x-plane? I'm just starting a lackadaisical trod toward a real-world instrument rating, and working with others on the network sounds like a good time. Work on CRM, either save one another from, or share in, embarrassing faux pas, what could be more fun!?

Right now only on the ZLA membership, but once I get a better grasp on handling the virtual instruments while maintaining positive control (or have someone to fly with to share the responsibility), I'm planning on getting the extended coverage. I've got a few add-ons and would be open to finding something we both enjoy. If this sounds appealing to anybody, shoot me a PM!

Hi Jeff!

You forgot to mention, what timezone are you on & when do you tend to fly? I am currently working my way through the CAT-ratings, mostly flying VFR but once I muster the courage (& knowledge more importantly) I would quite like to give IFR & shared cockpits a go.

Ah, that might help! I'm in the pacific time zone, and my schedule varies, I work a rotating shift. Available just about any time if I'm not working and with a few days heads up usually.

I wouldn't mind doing the CAT ratings, I worked through the old V ratings and up to I-10, but that was well over a year ago. If you're interested in shared cockpit with VFR stuff I'm game for that as well!

Hello Jeff,

Have you tried or are you still doing any shared cockpit with Xplane 11?
I fly the 737 800 created by Zibo. Looking for someone to partner with on a flight. I’m on the east coast.

Thanks
