[Mar 29 1800-2100 PDT]: Wednesday Walkabout!

After a month off for a commercial project in February (more on that soon), we're back on schedule with our monthly events!

This is our first midweek event in a long time, so if weekends day-time events don't work for you, this is a great opportunity. It's a WUS/ZLA hybrid event with a WUS departure point (MRY, which WILL be towered for the event), and a nearby ZLA departure point (KSBP), with everyone heading to BUR. After a quick turn, it's off to sunny Henderson. The idea is to have multiple departure points with a common enroute segment with lots of arrivals and departures at BUR before everyone heads over to Henderson to finish out the event.

We've made this a 3 hour event window, 1 hour shorter than previous events to try to concentrate the traffic as much as possible.

Have fun, and see you guys on the scopes!

I'm well aware, but running events takes considerable extra staffing. We just don't have the extra staffing available right now for a weekend daytime event. The moment we can do it without it causing undue strain on families and marriages, we will do so. I don't think it will be far away, we do have extra staff going through training as we speak. Please be patient.

It was this, or no event at all for March.

Can we GA out of Monterey during the event without the Western Expansion?

The logical answer would be no. You can't fly in the expansion area unless you have an expansion subscription.

Negative, this is why the original post reads:
t's a WUS/ZLA hybrid event with a WUS departure point (MRY, which WILL be towered for the event), and a nearby ZLA departure point (KSBP)

Aww, that's no fun for us impoverished GA pilots :D

Thanks for clarifying though.

The event was wonderful! Kudos to the controllers and fellow pilots.

C172 is so slow. I was the last one landing at Henderson.
