connection error [fixed]

Post by N1654J »

First login attempt after joining and completing initial "fill in" of the Connection box and hit "connect" and an error box appears" "An error occured connecting to the Air Traffic Control service, Valid Name, No Data Record of Requested Type".

Any ideas?

Hi Bill. Welcome to PilotEdge. What aircraft type are you entering in the box?

Bill, can you verify that this is the PilotEdge client (V0.9) ?

I looked through the source code and this is a socket level error, indicating that there might be a firewall or some kind of networking issue preventing you from connecting to the server. Do you have any firewall or antivirus software running that might be effecting this?

Can you try it again and let us know if you're still having the same issue?

If you've disabled any firewall or anti-virus software and still have the same issue then we'll make a time to do a screen sharing session and work out what's going on for you.

Good morning. I turned off my firewall and my Charter security suite and receive same error.
