Choosing a Callsign

Post by CaptainMD »

Hello Pilotedge,

Does PE ATC concern itself with ensuring the callsign you choose for the airframe and airline livery you are flying matches real life airframes and airlines?

For example, Republic Airlines RPA (Delta, United, American) commonly use the “Brickyard” callsign in real life for their Embraer airframes. So if one uses a Delta 737 800 under RPA (which RPA does NOT use a 737), will that cause a red flag on my filed flight plan?

Thanks!

the actual livery you're using in the sim is irrelevant. What people see is based on the callsign that you're using. As for aircraft types, we're not strict about that, but it would be odd for a SWA 747 to be flying around :)
