VFR Group Flight #20
Why fly over the Cascades if you can fly through them? Time to head to an international airport!

We'll be doing another early morning VFR group flight this Saturday 12/5. We will depart from a towered airfield again and land at an untowered field again.

Start your sim of choice, load up at a vacant ramp location at the west ramp parking in Yakima (KYKM) and log into the Pilotedge network to join. The briefing starts at 8:00 am PST on 122.75. After everyone is informed and ready the Pilotedge service should have been opened and we will advise when we switch to the ground frequency for departure.

We'll be leaving northbound along Route97 to join the I-90 near Ellensburg. We can follow the I-90 all the way through the North Cascade Range, only 4500 ft in the valley should be good! I'm planning a touch-and-go at the Easton State grass strip (KESW) and we exit the valley east of Renton. We will head nothwestbound while staying out of the Seattle Class B airspace and can take some nice pictures of Paine Field from above. This flight ends with a full stop at a scenic international airport! No worries, no heavy jet traffic and airliners here, our destination on this flight is Jefferson Co. (0S9)

This is a pretty basic procedure flight with great views. It is suitable for beginners however because it includes a departure from a class D airport, I highly recommend you to achieve at least the CAT-ratings up to the CAT-4 if you'd like to join. Preferably fly an aircraft that is easily able to maintain a cruise speed of around 90 kts.

Wanna join?

I know you did this before. Can you export something I can import into Foreflight? Going to try and make this one.

Bernie,

What kind of a fileformat would that be? Can export something for x-plane, P3D or Garmin GPS?

CSV and KML are the file types from my limited understanding. Not sure who did it before but I was able to import it straight into Foreflight.

It looks like LittleNavMap (that's what I create these with) does not export in these two file formats. Sorry!

Yes, I would like to try to make this one. (We did this almost same in reverse just recently.)

SkyVector offers this link:
https://skyvector.com/?fpl=%20KYKM%2046 ... 208W%200S9

Though if I were to enter the Flight plan into the GPS, it would look more like:
https://skyvector.com/?fpl=%20KYKM%20CI ... 0W10%200S9

Thanks for putting this on!
