I concur with this recommendation - I also recommend taking a look at MegaSceneryX's Southern California photo-realistic scenery for the Southern CA region (just the package for Southern CA, not the MegaSceneryEarth of the rest of CA). A ten-fold increase in realism over the FSX default textures, and the product actually improves framerates over the default textures just a bit, too.
