I Need a New Plane

Post by Pete491 »

Guys,

I just joined PE last week and love it. I have finished the first two VFR tests and wasn't prepared for how nervous I was. The controllers were a big help.

I have a Commercial/Instrument but haven't flown in about 30 years. I decided to get current again and saw something about PE on the web. This is very realistic. The controllers sound exactly like you would expect them to sound.

I have been using the C-172 that came with FSX and need a faster plane. Any recommendations for an add-on single engine plane?

Thanks!

Welocme! If you are looking for the perfect VFR/IFR platform with a single engine, than the Cessna 210 Centurion II is the way to go. That is if you are willing to spend the money. I haven't found a freeware version, but here is the link if you are interested, http://www.carenado.com/CarSite/Portal/ ... n=products they also have a lot of other choices that are cheaper and great quality.

I used to fly the old carenado C210 for FS9 and can attest that its a great plane. Carenado actually makes a bunch of good single engine planes.

The PMDG JS41 isn't bad. Tough bird to fly.

It sounds like you're leaning heavily towards a single. If you have any thoughts about a twin, maybe these guys can help you decide: http://www.xtranormal.com/watch/7812971/twin-vs-single

I have been extremely pleased with Flight1's aircraft. After starting with the Cessna Skyline 182 Turbo, I have since added the Pilatus PC-12 and the Cessna Citation Mustang. Both of them are a lot of fun to fly, especially the Mustang. Unlike most of the Citation bizjets, the Mustang is designed for single pilot operation with a very reasonable cockpit workload.

You won't regret it! Now the icing on the cake would be to retrofit it with reality xp's gns530!
