Shared Cockpit

Post by wdhurley »

Has there been a work around to be able to perform a shared cockpit flight yet? I have been thinking about a pilot/copilot situation in the ATC atmosphere would be a blast.

Absolutely agree. It would be superb to have a first officer in the PMDG 744, if only to take the radio load which is not insignificant on PE. Unfortunately, as I understand it, because PMDG do not use standard FSX guages, it is just not going to happen. But, I will continue to dream.

I am even thinking on flights with smaller aircraft such as the DC3 or even the turbine duke. Although it would be great in the PMDG J41.

I do plan on adding shared cockpit support to the PE application. Basically, it needs to allow somebody to plug in as an observer, and for the app to ignore the position reports from the master aircraft.
