3pm on a Wednesday and no traffic at LAX??........

Drones can't talk on the radio. Communication with ATC is a requirement for flying in Class B/C/D airspace. Therefore, you don't generally see drones in Class B/C/D airspace on PE.

This has been the case since Day 1 and isn't changing.

We had a fairly massive spike in traffic through most of January, but it's subsided in the past few days, immediately after the 2nd busiest day on record. I'm not sure what's going on.

What about helicopters operating under the Bravo?

What about them?

If you were looking for traffic drones in that area then use choppers or ground vehicles.

Take a look at the first graph. Given one of the graphs shows a strong exponential curve of decay, it could be a model of what PE experienced. Essentially, all of the "whirling" eccentrics of individual random occurrences (many pilots choosing to fly at the same coincident time) came together in a crescendo of participation. The next day the same mechanics worked the other way in a decrescendo of many random occurrences (this time many pilots choosing not to fly because they had just flown the day before). If there is no other reason for the drop-off, the above may be the reason.

We have tons of drones already operating under the Bravo near LAX, they're just not at LAX, if that's what you're trying to suggest.
