Twitch Stream Anoouncements

Post by Ryan Landis »

I wasn't sure what section of the forums this thread would be appropriate for, but for now I am going to use this thread to announce when I am about to go live for a twitch stream on the PE network. I would like to have more than a days notice of my stream, but for now I will just play it by ear. So if you are interested in watching my fumbling antics you can check it out here http://www.twitch.tv/herkchief

enjoyed watching your broadcast.

FYI - KSAN indicates "LINDBERGH TOWER" on the airport diagram and in the A/FD. Typically, if the name of the tower differs from the airport, it is indicated in those two spots.

Ryan, I'm fine with you posting here, not a problem. If we need to centralize the twitch announcements, we'll make a single thread for it. In fact...this can be it :)

Once you have a subscriber base, you can start your stream at the beginning of your pre-flight, then people can arrive within the next few minutes without missing too much. The other thing to do would be to try to fly on a schedule too, as you pointed out.

Good luck with it!

Thanks Keith. Today's flight was kind of impromptu and I plan on some sort of scheduling. In the interest of time today I started the stream mid plan and wasn't even able to finish the flight due to the "boss" arriving early...lol..I still need to find a way to chat other than the digitalthemepark ts server. And thanks for the clarification on Lindbergh, I didn't see it on the taxi diagram and kinda knew it was Lindbergh tower, but just felt like ranting. Glad you enjoyed it!

Using the Soundblaster Tactic 3D Alpha Headset.

Also, going live in 5 to practice my I-11 offline. Hopefully my DME ARC calculations are accurate...lol

Sorry Keith, had to practice the arc once first before the main event. I'm shooting for tonight around 7pm Pacific. It wasn't as tough as I thought, but then again I was offline...lol. I flubbed the missed, but I was just going though the motions at that point. I also followed the missed all the way to ETHER where I then turned around to land vfr at the airport. fun flight, but it was definitely missing something.....the controllers! I will post here tonight if I am to attempt the I11.

Understood, Ryan. Just know that you're welcome to practice maneuvers on PE as much as you like. You can request a VFR departure and head out to practice areas, or any random location and do what you need to do. Don't feel like you have to do a polished test flight to participate on the network.

The network is better when more people are flyin'....just sayin'!
