Disconnect from PE and X-plane crash 3 times

Post by arb65912 »

Gentlemen,

I was trying to make a flight on PE today, I was disconnected from PE few times and X-Plane crashed.

Attached is my log file.

All was good couple weeks ago, weird.

Would you please take a look at my log file and give me any hints?

Thank you, cheers, AJ

It appears you're running 32-bit xplane, and that you have some custom CSL's loaded, custom scenery and a number of other plugins loaded. It could be that you're running into a memory limitation. I would suggest removing the custom scenery and the custom CSL's as a start and see if it's stable after that.

Also make sure you're not flying one of the 3rd party airplanes which had a known memory leak, or used a 3rd party technology with a known memory leak.

I think it was the 10.22 update, all worked fine in 10.21, the same scenery, the same aircraft. Unfortunately, can not go back to 10.21. I am down I guess. Thank you for looking my log file up. Cheers, AJ

Sorry to hear that. If you want to move back to 10.21, there are ways, let me know.

BEFORE I go back to 10.21, would you mind to point me out to these custom CSL files, maybe they are not neede on PE. I would give it a try. If not, I might ask you for a hint going back to 10.21 BUT, that is like walking backward.... I would hate doing that.

I take it back, the extra aircraft obj reference was scenery related, not from a CSL for PilotEdge.

If I understand correctly, 10.22 allocates a bunch of memory for LUA (one of the scripting technologies for plugins) that wasn't being allocated in 10.21. Between that and all the extra scenery, PilotEdge CSL's, plugins, SASL, etc, I suspect you are running out of memory. You either need to start cutting things out, or move to 10.21, or move to XP 64-bit.

No luck... it has to be something different than memory/CPU issue, I have GTX 780 card, works great on VATSIM , PE settings are high texture resolution, it takes only 764 MB memory, FPS is 80+.....any other ideas than memory?
Should I get rid of the planes? Would it make any difference?
Tried today, got disconnected 4 times, gave up of course.

Disconnect or crash? Two different things.

I have seen some disconnects lately, going to throttle back some drones, give it a try after I let you know I have made the change.
