You know audio recordings are available on the website, right?
I laughed my arse off, it's fantastic when ATC add a little bit of humour and Keith is a maestro in doing that. Also, the distinctive australian accent and pilot's reaction make for a great moment

Re: Keith Please.....
I actually feel terrible for Kim....he had changed frequency, but the connection to the server was not working well for him, so the commands weren't getting through and it wasn't putting him in touch with the next controller.
I tried to work with him on the DTP TeamSpeak, but he dropped out with 'connection lost' there as well, so I can only assume the connection was up and down.
It's something I do plan on looking into on the server side, though, to find out why we stop receiving position reports (which is what ultimately leads to the connection being severed).

Btw, it should be noted, I got his destination completely wrong, I thought he was going to SNA So, it should be me in the hot seat! Check the 4 minute mark on that recording.

Re: Keith Please.....
Thanks currentadventure, I didn't think to go listen to it again. It was worth it, I laughed my head off. As you may have realized I was having trouble keeping it together after Keith had me going to SNA instead of LAX. Then it just got better.currentadventure wrote:Post the sound clip of AUZ081Heavy freq. change from SOCAL to LA Tower this afternoon around 2055z. Classic!!!!

Re: Keith Please.....
You're absolutely right Nuno, there are many times over the years where Keith's spontaneous humour have destroyed me to the point where I can barely continue to fly. The ultimate for me was when I called a go around and Keith bemusedly said "Australian 081 Heavy, (go around intructions), caution wake turbulence from ... ahh ... err ... ahh ... YOU!" I then lost the plot.Nuno Santos wrote:http://assets.pilotedge.net/recordings/ ... _17510.mp3

I was starring at the screen for an eternity wondering where the hell you got DAWNA from. I was convinced I had lost the plot Then you came up with the diversion, and I could barely contain myself. After that it just kept getting better, LOL.Keith Smith wrote:Btw, it should be noted, I got his destination completely wrong, I thought he was going to SNA So, it should be me in the hot seat! Re: Keith Please.....
Yes I do, but Keith has posted small clips in the past of humorous situations for all to hear. I was listening in on the PE receiver and I about rollled out of my chair when I heard this, it was too funny!! Sorry that Kim had an issue, but he made me laugh so hard I felt others should be able to enjoy it as well!Nuno Santos wrote:http://assets.pilotedge.net/recordings/ ... _17510.mp3
