Hi PE Pilots,
I was planning my route from KSBD to KEMT and had a question regarding interpretation of the KEMT VOR/GPS-C approach plate.
Assuming I arrive in the neighborhood via POM radial 258 should I turn left onto heading 190 a few miles before reaching EMT into the R19 upwind, and finish the rest of the pattern to land on R19? Or is there a better way?
Thanks in advance for your help!
Regards,
Lucky

Re: KEMT Approach Question
For an approach that just brings you abeam the airport without a specified runway, you'll receive circling instructions with a pattern entry from the tower as you check in.
For example you may just receive, "Cessna 123, circle east of the field, enter left downwind runway 19. Report turning base." or something like that, but it's totally up to the tower controller. If you don't see the airport by the circling minimums, you would have to execute the missed as published.
