PE Towered Airports Tour

Hi all!

I'm doing a tour I thought of to fly through all of the towered airports on the PE network (40 of them I believe: Class B, C,D). This has probably been posted on the forum somewhere before, but I wasn't able to find such a list with a cursory search. I'll just share the list of citypairs I came up with here in case others are interested in trying it. It's quite addicting since you're flying into a different airport each time and it's a challenge sometimes to do the IFR planning for some more obscure routes (which I enjoy).

I'm currently 12 flights into it as of this posting and am flying in the Carenado B1900D for X-Plane. A twin piston or turboprop would be a good option for this tour; e.g., most of the flights in the B1900D are in the 25-60 minute range. The idea behind how I paired the airports was to use the fields around L.A. like a "hub" (since most of the airports in the PE coverage area are clustered there), fly to the "spokes" in the Las Vegas, NorCal, San Diego, etc. areas, and then return to another L.A. aerodrome. Finally, there are four untowered airports in the list (KFAT, KTVL, L35, KAVX -- some of my favorites) -- indicated in parentheses -- because I ran out of "spokes." Feel free to change substitute those for whatever airports you'd like if you want to fly only to towered fields.

I'm already 18 flights into the tour and having a lot of fun (even though most of the airports are just default scenery for me in X-Plane). I'm glad you like the idea too, Dustin!
