Hi,

Every time I connect to pilot edge it either crashes flight sim X instantly or a few minutes in. I have done the SB4 modification that is on the website and still have the problem every time. any ideas???

Might have to do with "callsign joining a session" messages overloading the sim (due to a great number of drones that are always around). Try to enable the "Hide all single line messages" option in the FSUIPC module configuration.

EDIT. Actually, just realized it's inapplicable to FSX, sorry. Got to be something else.

Try connecting somewhere outside of the coverage area (like chicago or dallas). Does it freeze there too?

Do you have the stock aircraft installed in fsx?
