In the initial build most of the $ was in the PC and ultra-short throw projector. The first avionics I got on Ebay used, and I built everything else myself. Initial expense WITHOUT PC and projector was probably $1,500, most of which was avionics. PC and projector on top of that. All the lumber, trim, etc. was actually awfully cheap, save the time put into making it. But I had to buy the PC and projector, too, so it was quite a bit more.
