Unable to transmit after frequency change

All,
I need some real help here. I am running P3D v3.4 and I can successfully connect to PE and make a communication calls initially but, when I flip flop frequencies I mysteriously lose the ability to transmit or be heard. I can restart PE and get the initial call completed and communicate fine as long as I don't change frequency but, once I do I cannot transmit at all even going back to the original frequency. I uninstalled PE and reinstalled it with the same results, changed aircraft, changed headset(they are BT headsets) and verified that both PE and P3D are started as non administrator. I am at a lost as what to try next. Anyone have any ideas?
