No SB widget appearing with P3Dv4

Have been running the latest PE client 1.0.3 pilotedge_p3d.exe for more than a month with P3Dv3.4 under Win7, and it works fine. When I connect the SB widget with ident button and receive/transmit light appears as in all previous versions.

Tried to connect my new P3Dv4 using the same p3d version of the PE client. I can connect to both network and voice servers, but the SB widget doesn't appear. It isn't hidden behind the SB window or elsewhere on my screen.

Has anyone else encountered this ? Realize I can use the menu to ident, but the widget is much easier and the comm radio status lights are so useful.

I've not seen the widget for ages using P3D v3 or v4.

Widget appears in my P3Dv3, but is missing in P3Dv4

Subsequently found Keith's post on the P3Dv4 missing widget issue.
viewtopic.php?f=45&t=7291&p=48169&hilit=fsuipc#p48169.
Apparently not easy to restore for the 64 bit platform.

An IDENT key or JS button is easy to program in FSUIPC - see viewtopic.php?f=45&t=3867&p=44317&hilit=widget#p44317.

But I'll still miss the widget's COM1/COM2 transmit display.

Once you know your TX button is working, the TX light really isn't that important IMHO. We haven't had one in most xplane panels since the outset and nobody seems to mind.

I agree the widget is super useful for IDENT alone. Having to go into the client and then fiddle through the drop down menu is cumbersome. Particularly when hand flying through the LA Bravo during multiple transitions when workload is high. I've seen another thread where you can make the aircraft ident button work but it looks a bit fiddly and I've not had time to look at it yet.
