I am interested in knowing how long it took for you to earn your CFI. I am interested in how long (weeks, months) and how much ground and flight training. I am interested in those who did it on their own at a local flight school.
Any of this information would be helpful.

Your best bet would be to contact the local flight school and ask them. It all depends on your schedule, progress (studying at home to greatly reduce your training time and costs), instructor/aircraft availability, and weather. I did mine through a 141 program, and it took about 4 months.
