Newbie - Radio Check

Post by AZWildk4t »

I just signed up with PE and trying to do first flight. There’s an optional step to do the radio check. I tuned both radios to 123.45 but cannot hear my radio check. I saw in a post that dual comms not working. Is that the issue here? How can I do the radio check without interfering with ATC?

Look at your com radio. You only have com1 set to 123.45...in fact, even the text in the box says so. You need 123.45 in both com1 and com2 actives. If you don't have a COM2, choose a plane that has 2 com radios just for the sake of the radio check, then you can switch back to the single com plane later.

Just trying to get setup for the 1st time and do a radio check and Com1 on the c172 G530 will not hold my standby freq. It just resets back to the ground freq. the 430 on Com2 works fine.

What do I need to change to get the radio to work correctly?

Thanks,
Will

Per the setup instructions and video, you need to turn off your AI Copilot assist (thanks, MSFS2020 -_-). Refer to the page in which you downloaded the Pilot client for more information.

Also, check out our discord for more immediate help. Info in my signature below.

Try using the GNS530 MOD it's free and much improved. Infact I'd highly recommend the GTN750 MOD instead since it works with all AC and is touch screen also free. Links below.
