First event?

Post by Keith Smith »

Now that we're up and running, I think it might be time for our first event!

The big decision is the timing, and which airports. I'm thinking LAS-SAN for heavy metal, and SMO-MYF for slower aircraft. Sound good, or any other ideas?

The idea is to get lots of aircraft into the same sector (frequency) at the same time.

I'm guessing either a Saturday or a Sunday afternoon or evening.

Cool! I have been waiting for a "high-traffic" event...Saturday or Sunday sounds great as well.

Was it this Sunday, Oct 23rd?
I like the idea, if Keith can post the date and time frame few days ahead of time, I would try to attend.

It would be on a Saturday or a Sunday, no date has been posted yet.

When we hold a 'big event', it will be with more than 24hrs notice, I assure you.

I'd be interested in such an event. Would it be possible to add a non-towered field to the mix? I'd like to try out non-towered field operations with actual traffic.

I am definitely interested. Sunday evenings are best for me typically.

Just tell me when and where and I'll do my best to be there. Thanks!

That would be interesting and fun. I'll do my best to "play" along if it is a day I can.
Just last night had my first other visible traffic called by the controller and I could see it. The limitations I deal with in FSX right now ;)
