[Thur May 27th - 5pm PDT] Return to Service: VCV-LAS/HND
Posted: Sun May 23, 2021 9:58 am
The United States is reaching a level of normalcy which has allowed the airlines to dust off the many aircraft that sat in the desert for much of 2020. One of the most popular storage locations is Victorville, CA (KVCV) due to the dry climate.
We’re celebrating the booming travel industry by having you help take airplanes out of the desert and return them to service in Las Vegas!
Pistons will head to Henderson, NV (HND), turboprops will have the option of Henderson or Las Vegas (LAS) and the jets will fly to LAS.
Both IFR and VFR aircraft are welcome.
Please note:
Do not call for clearance until 5pm PDT to allow for the controllers to be sufficiency staffed and prepared for the influx of traffic.
Also, due to limited starting locations at VCV in some simulators, pilots can use map.pilotedge.net to try and plan where on the ramp they will connect. If you connect to the network and find yourself on top of another airplane, please disconnect and reposition on the ramp before reconnecting.
