X-Plane "Ground Speed" feature

X-Plane has a nice "Ground Speed" feature that lets users "fly" at 2, 4, 8 and 16 times actual ground speeds. I would like to use it on cross-country flights that have long straight-and-level segments, so I would be able to do flights in an hour or less that would take much longer at normal ground speeds. Can I do this while using PilotEdge, or does using the Ground Speed feature make things difficult or impossible for PE controllers?

This is covered at pilotedge.net/faq.

You would need to seek approval from ATC prior to accelerating your simulation rate. In reality, it's likely a better idea to just choose a shorter flight.

Before posting my question, I did look at the FAQ (and at earlier Forum posts) but didn't find the answer. I now see that I didn't find it because I was searching for "Ground Speed" while the FAQ calls it "time acceleration." Anyway, thanks for your quick response.
