Zane,

Thanks for the suggestion, but we've already settled on the implementation described above:
It's going to be simplified down to a towered pair and a non-towered pair.

Glad I came back into the Forum and found this thread. I had been on vacation (R/L w/Maui Aviators) on Maui, and busy after getting home and had not seen this thread and was confused by the lack of focus fields. Like many I was using those to develop my flight plans for my evening flights. Hope to see focus fields back up soon.

As an aside, thanks to the controllers who really made me sweat last week on and KSMO/KSEE IFR flight including my missing to turns and need to get an amended clearance on the fly! Wow, more like really life everytime 8-) and the reason I got involved.

Yes, they are. The primary focus over the past few days has been completing proposals for commercial prospects. I will be getting to this today, though.

All,

Please join me in welcoming the return of the focus fields to the PE homepage. As previously announced, we've simplified the program to an untowered pair and a towered pair. Thanks for your patience.

Thanks, Tim

Just noticed that we hadn't defined the list for the next few days. That's been taken care of. If you were checking today's fields (Mon Nov 21) and didn't see any, give it another try.

I think, Focus Fields are a very good idea. So I thought to fly to the today's focus field "San Diego/Brown Field" but was welcomed by the Mexican police after landing because I landed in Tijuana. The fact that I had due to a computer problem no more views sideways or right/left forward cannot be exepted as a full excuse. I'll try again to fly to a Focus Field.
Greetings from Mexico
