I had this same problem installing P3D V2. This thread resolved my issue. I was able to go click on the following file while P3d was running:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v2\redist\interface\FSX-SP2-XPACK\retail\lib\SimConnect.msi
after this I was able to run the Pilot Edge ...

I'm upgrading my Pilot Edge client and having an issue. According to the directions, I've unzipped the new software and copied the Pilot Edge folder into the "X-plane 10/Resources/Plugins" folder.
