Re: Sky High 3 failed leg 2

I may have answered my own question. So after re-looking at the quick brief today, I see that leg 2 says to file at 5,000. I was relying too much on what I was seeing Keith do in the video. I believe the reason for the higher altitude is because of Mountain Lake and the antennas just to the East of ...

Sky High 3 failed leg 2

Need a little help please! I flew leg 1 and everything went decent. But I failed leg 2 because the controller told me that I filed an invalid altitude. I filed 3,000 and I still cannot figure out what is wrong with that? I reviewed over the ODP and it’s the correct altitude for the direction of ...

Re: Transponder Resetting to Standby on its own???

As soon as I started PE I went in through PE and changed the transponder from standby to mode c. It appears to be changing it back in PE as soon as I put the beacon code into my Elite AP4000. Do you think I should uncheck the flight simulator option? Would it be possible for me to get on to the ...

Transponder Resetting to Standby on its own???

While doing the V-03 training exercise last night, I was asked by the controllers several times to make sure that my Transponder was on ALT and not on STANDBY. I had to keep going into PE and change it. I am not sure what or why it is changing itself?? It seems to be doing this whenever I change ...

Re: [Oct 5 1800PDT] Birthday Bash!

Happy Birthday PE, and congrats Keith! I can't make it tomorrow, but I might can make the next one if it's on a Sunday again. I'm about 95% of the way done with getting my sim back up and functional. Right now, running my business is severely interfering with my real world and simulated flying ...

Re: Picking up IFR clearance while in flight?

Thanks Guys,

After departing KPWA (Wiley Post) we had told departure that we wanted to go over to KRCE (Page) to do some practice approaches, and they cleared us for that and knew what we were doing. So enroute is when we had to go IFR, so we called them up, and I don't remember exactly what was ...

Picking up IFR clearance while in flight?

Keith,

During my real IFR training flight today, we took off VFR and planned to go shoot some approaches over at KRCE. Well just after we took off and climbing to 3500 we had to ask to pick up an IFR clearance. If I wanted to practice this how do I go about letting the controllers know that I am ...
