Echo

Today I downloaded, installed, and registered the latest version of FSUIPC4, and mapped the PTT to the button on the backside of my joystick, just like on the Diamond I fly. Big improvement! Much more realistic than using the left mouse buton, thanks! However, after that change (and no other changes ...

Re: Can't connect - Ready to give up

Managed to connect MSFS-X to PE for a short time at L35 Big Bear City today, then crashed for unknown reason unrelated to PE. Disgusted with general bugginess of MSFS-X, I switched to X-Plane 9. Positioned same
aircraft (a Diamond DA-20 Eclipse trainer) at L35 ramp, engine running, filed flight ...

Satellite Connection

Thanks for the tip regarding PFC at the ASF seminar Tuesday night. PFC had a really nice sim set-up, and were handing out PE info to all who were interested. There were about 300 pilots in attendance for the Radio Communications seminar. Mike Altman and Tracy Cook are good guys . PFC's offices and ...

Re: Dropping "Packets"?

Hi Keith,

Thank you for your honest evalauation of the situation. No promises from Verizon as to the 3G to 4G upgrade. Maybe it's time for me to just spend more effort on flying real airplanes again, instead of the countless hours I've spent on Flight Sim. Bummer of a day. My Dad died this morning ...

Reduce "multiplayer visibility"?

Keith,

Once again, my very sincere "Thanks!" for your help. I will look for reducing multiplayer visibility in SB4 PE, correct?

Verizon says they might upgrade my home location coverage from 3-G to 4-G soon, possibly this year!

Respectfully,

Dropping "Packets"?

Hi, guys!

Earlier today, I was finally able to establish two-way voice communication with ground/tower ATC at Brackett/ La Verne (KPOC)... Sort of. Transmission quality was very poor. I heard the controller use my N#, so I know he was talking to me when he said something about "dropping packets ...

Re: An error occured connecting to the ATC server

Thanks, Keith. Would love to join you guys tonite, but my 90-year-old Dad is in the hospital, ICU. I should be with him as much as possible before he "flys West into the sunset forever".
Respectfully,
John

Re: An error occured connecting to the ATC server

THAT WAS IT! THANK YOU!

I was using the PE Forums password, when I should have been using the password "beta"!

I need another checklist... for using SB4 PE.

Thanks again, Keith!

Re: An error occured connecting to the ATC server

Hi Keith,

Thank you for your reply and help. Maybe we are making progress. This is why it's called "BETA", right?

OK. Turned off ESET firewall and ALL ESET protection, after a reboot. Using PILOTEDGE: PilotEdge Server, not PILOTDGE: PilotEdge Dev. MSFS-X running fine. A/C parked at KPVF ramp with ...
