This is honestly the only thing keeping me from switching to X-Plane even though I own 9. I just can't get over how it's not a simple process of making new views and dragging them to your additional monitors on the same computer like FSX. It seems like a $6000 investment just to get X-Plane running ...

Cool pic! I've only seen the OCN one in person and I've wondered if they all look the same. I can never seem to find the JLI VOR from the ground though. It must just be too high up.
Awesome. I had a similar experience using PilotEdge before my cross country PPL training. It really helps! Just starting to get into IFR basics on PE and am really learning a lot already.

I've been using the defaults but some things bug me about it. I've never heard of SPAD before your post, but I just looked it up and am going to give it a try! Being able to set my altimeter with it would be awesome.
That must be it. I'm using the Saitek multipanel and am just leaving the NAV button on. There's another one that says APR. I did manage to step down and get the little glidepath diamond to show up, but couldn't figure out why it didn't intercept the glidepath. Setting it to approach mode sounds like ...
